Friday night was completely overtaken by the amazing talent and showmanship of Motionless In White (MIW). This was the type of metal concert that'll have you dreaming of it for years to come.

This show didn't start slow! It had a quick beginning to a fiery, performance that had you on your feet the entire night. Chris Motionless (lead vocalist), in his iconic pale face and dark eyes, entered the stage singing "Sign of Life." He effortlessly belted songs out and looked completely natural doing it.

Ryan Sitkowski (lead guitar), Rickey Olsen (rhythm guitar), and Justin Morrow (bassist) were moving up and down all through the night, alternating between rocking out on the stage and being up elevated on risers and platforms. Drummer Vinny Mauro was nearly hidden from view behind his enormous drum kit, but his brutal beats provided the backbone for the 19-song set.

The production value of the show was excellent. The background visuals seamlessly transitioned between a mix of industrial cyberpunk and gothic horror to fit the mood of each song. In addition to pyro, smoke, and dazzling lights, we enjoyed extreme close-ups of all the band members. These visuals allowed fans in the very back to see the details of Sitkowski's elaborate face mask and Morrow's macabre makeup, which included white eyelashes and glittery, red eyeshadow.

Motionless in White added The Cherry Bombs to their shows during this tour. This all-female dance group enhanced MIW's visuals using giant light wands, striped umbrellas, blasters that shot fire, and grinders that flung sparks.

The Indianapolis stop was the second-to-last show on the first leg of the Sweat & Blood Tour, and was the first venue to sell out! Motionless in White wanted to show their appreciation to the Indy crowd by bringing out some surprises during the evening. One surprise was when MIW showcased the lead singer Will Ramos from supporting act Lorna Shore. Chris and Will sang "Immaculate Misconception;" a never-before-played song on the Sweat and Blood tour. Seeing them perform this song together was not on anyone's bingo card for this year, but we were so happy it made it there!

After the audience was reminded to "Please put your sunglasses on, now," Ryan Sitkowski had a beautiful guitar solo during "Sunglasses At Night," which he absolutely slayed. This song is a heavier cover of the original hit by Corey Hart, which was released in 1984. Motionless in White gave this song its justice with the 80's vibes. It included bright retro visuals, synth guitar sounds, and a Flashdance-style chair dance from the Cherry Bombs.

"Thoughts and Prayers" had Purge vibes. Water guns were being sprayed into the pit, and the screens displayed blood splatters behind Motionless as he encouraged the crowd to sing along. There was no better time to mosh than this! The pit was going crazy with crowd surfers, and hands thrown in the air.

Another memorable moment was when Motionless in White showcased lead singer Ryan Kirby from Fit For A King during "One Mutilation." Ryan's vocals made an excellent addition to this song.

Motionless in White will be taking a short break before beginning Leg 2 of the Sweat and Blood tour his fall in North America. MIW will be accompanied with Dayseeker, The Devil Wears Prada, and Dark Devine. For tickets and more information about Motionless in White, click below:
