Concertgoers running to their seats at the Everwise Amphitheater are getting
ready to witness the greatness of Social Distortion on Friday night 5/1/24. At
the first sight of lead singer, Michael Ness, the crowd ejects from their seats.
The whole theater is filled with roars as the crowd awaits the very first song.
“Through These Eyes” is the first song of the Social Distortion set. Their
iconic logo, a mega skeleton holding a martini, takes up the back of the stage,
matching the energy of the crowd. Ready to drink and enjoy the music,
everyone is dancing around to the first song!
During their next song, “I Was Wrong,” guitarist Jonny Wickersham rips an
epic solo, opening up the pit right away. Punk rockers from every generation
are seen throwing each other around and embracing their punk culture. Ness
notices this right away and states before his third song, “Taking you back to 1983, they weren’t ready for us then but we were here to stay.”
Overall the Social Distortion set was full of smiles, headbangs, drinking, and a
love for punk rock music. Ness and Wickersham really took the stage by
storm and had the audience in the palm of their hands.
