Ruoff Music Center was filling up as fans eagerly took their places for the long-awaited Young the Giant/Cage the Elephant Tour. As Young the Giant took the stage, the band was met with screams, cheers, and an applause. They opened their set with the song entitled “Jungle Youth” instantly igniting the crowd. Frontman Sameer Gadhia’s commanding stage presence  was immediately apparent. His voice, as on point and dynamic as ever, sounded wonderful.

After their opening track Sameer was sure to thank Cage the Elephant for inviting them to this tour. He reminisced on how long they’ve been friends, and how long they’ve been wanting to tour together. He also mentioned that they would be playing songs from all of their records, which was met with great applause.

The band's chemistry was undeniable from the first track to the last. Guitarists Eric Cannata and Jacob Tilley delivered intricate and complicated guitar riffs with ease. Bassist Payam Dooszadeh and drummer Francois Comtois provided a solid yet dynamic foundation for the band.

Young the Giant's setlist was a journey through their discography from their early hits such as “Cough Syrup” to their newer melodies such as “The Walk Home.” This broad setlist brought together fans, both new and old, creating a sense of community.

Young the Giant's performance at Ruoff Music Center was a great success. The band's blend of energy, emotion, interaction, and their unique sound set the tone for an unforgettable performance.
