Adelitas Way is a band I've followed for a hot minute, but have never had the chance to see live until now. My expectations were high, and the band did not disappoint me.

As the first supporting act for Citizen Soldier, Adelitas Way came out swinging and never pulled back. Their seven-song set consisted of bangers from throughout their 16-year history, and I, along with all the other fans at The Deluxe, enjoyed every minute of it.

With Rick DeJesus on vocals, Grayson Erhard on guitar, Andrew Cushing on bass, and Tre Stafford on drums, Adelitas Way performed skillfully, cohesively, and with a huge amount of energy. They looked and acted the way rock bands should, and it didn't involve even one bit of equipment trashing or political ranting. They were there to play music that made their fans feel good, and they did it exceedingly well.

I'll leave you with a link to one of my favorite Adelitas Way songs, "What it Takes." I'd apologize in advance for the earworm, but I'm actually not sorry. Enjoy!
