Dead Poet Society may not have a huge fanbase yet, but I have a feeling it won't be long until that chages. The Cali-based (by way of Massachusetts) band has an edgy sound with slick hooks, relatable lyrics and a danceable beat. Their live show slaps, too - this band is the real deal.

Comprised of Jack Underkofler on guitar and lead vocals, Jack Collins on guitar, Dylan Brenner on bass and Will Goodroad on drums, Dead Poet Society pulled out all the stops during their set in support of Chevelle in Indianapolis. Their energy was infectious and soon the crowd was totally into it.

Bassist Brenner was especially fun to watch. His passion came through clearly in his body language, facial expressions and high-energy performance.

I was impressed by the way all the band members interacted with the audience. I saw a lot of eye contact crowd and smiles, which always enhances the fan experience. Throughout the 7-song set, Underkofler expressed gratitude to the crowd and to headliner Chevelle. I believe his humbleness was sincere; a private conversation I had later with Brenner echoed those feelings.

If Dead Poet Society isn't on any of your playlists yet, you need to give them a listen. Start with "Running in Circles" or this kick-ass collab with The Warning, another band I adore:
