Based on Showing Teeth's stage presence, audience engagement, and talent, I never would have guessed that she had only two singles under her belt and only one other live performance with the band she brought to The Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis Friday night.

When she first came on stage, Showing Teeth looked like she might be a second-grade teacher in her hometown of Nashville. She's young, slender, and pretty, with a friendly face. But when Showing Teeth started out her first song with a deep, gutteral scream, that illusion instantly vanished.

Throughout her set in support of Beartooth, Showing Teeth was passionate, yet cooly confident. Her clean vocals were strong and sweet. She engaged the crowd by introducing herself and her songs, and by making great eye contact and encouraging dancing. In short, she killed it!
