Subtronics and Friends played the Egyptian Room at the Murat on 2/5 By Kate Lopez

Tuesday evening started with Subtronics’ girlfriend, Level Up, playing first. Her sound was top level (pun intended?), and I always love seeing females on the decks. She was an unexpected addition to the lineup I saw, and I am so happy she played.

Level Up was followed by Bommer, Chee, and He$h. Although they all are in the same genre of EDM, they each had their own unique styles. The progression from artist to artist kept building the crowds anticipation.

Then it was time for Subtronics to take stage…

A mosh pit formed before the music even began. The stage was dark for the headliner but had the added effects of smoke bursts, and intense flashes of light. He played Riddim and Dubstep all night long, and gave this crowd what they came for. Bass you could feel in your soul and beats you could headbang to.
