Wilderado at The Hi-Fi Indy March 3, 2022 Photos and Review by Mike Bowen

I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph indie-band Wilderado at the Hi-Fi in Indianapolis recently. Having never heard their music, this Tulsa formed band exceeded my expectations and were complimented quite well by their opening act, Flipturn.

The band, consisting of Max Rainer (guitar/vocals), Tyler Wimpee (guitar/vocals), Justin Kila (drums), and Colton Dearing (bass), was well received by the crowd who enjoyed singing along with the tunes which all seemed familiar to them.

I purposely include the photo of the marquee as at one point Max pointed out that the last time the band was in Indy, they were lead to believe the show had sold out, only to have been disappointed by an apparently dyslexic box office count. No such misunderstandings this Thursday night. The show was indeed sold out and the energy was top notch as the crowd appreciated the familiar music and fantastic harmonies the boys served up.

My take: easy to listen to, even for this well-aged photographer, very entertaining and appreciated by their fans and absolutely worth a go. ENJOY! Their tour will soon be coming to a venue near you.
