I had the opportunity to see Devon Gilfillian at the Vogue Theater in Indianapolis on February 4th. Devon burst on the stage with a ton of energy with bright clothes and colorful stage lights. Inspired from R&B, Blues, and Soul genres, he successfully created his own sound, while honoring musical icons of his father's era.
I got a chance to speak with Devon after his concert and you would never meet a more humble and appreciative artist. He's thankful to have the opportunity to play his music and with the enthusiasm of a lottery winner. However lucky he may feel, his talent guarantees he'll have a bright future and a lifetime of success.
