Hooked On Moe. Blues Traveler. G. Love All Roads Runaround Tour
Back in the mid 90's I was traveling at break neck speed to make it to a local amphitheater to see Blues Traveler. My whole life, as it seemed, hinged on making it to Deer Creek Music Theatre to see The Black Crowes and Blues Traveler. There was a terrible thunderstorm that night but it would not deter me from this show. At the time I was blown away by this bill of two herculean acts. These bands were in their prime and playing seemingly endless hits that night. My recollect

Bikini Trill at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center ALT 103.3 Birthday Bash July 12, 2019
Although my musical horizons have been expanding recently, I had honestly never heard of surf pop or cosmic indie surf before I heard Bikini Trill in support of 311 and Dirty Heads at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center. You know what, though? I like it! A lot! Bikini Trill’s sound is kind of hard to describe, but cosmic indie surf is actually pretty accurate. And I’m 100% sure that it’s related to the reason the gates for this show opened at 4:20 PM. Bikini Trill’s lead singer

States and Capitals Richie Arthur Interview
I met up with Richie from States and Capitals behind The Irving Theater in Indianapolis Indiana to discuss the bands upcoming LP and a few other things. The bands tour manager, Peyton, was helping get all of the equipment together with the bass player James and the drummer Steve along with Richie. The band had just finished up their set when I caught up with them. The wind was blowing really hard and there were a few raindrops falling on us throughout the interview. A car ala

States and Capitals - The Feelings LP - Catching a lot of feelings from me
I had the pleasure of listening to the debut album The Feelings LP by States and Capitals. It is scheduled for release by JIRNY on August 2, 2019. The LP is a follow up to three earlier released EP’s. The 22-year-old singer/songwriter Richie Arthur brings a lot of thought-provoking lyrics to life. The very well written lyrics remind me a lot of Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, Daniel Powter, and even a little bit of Dave Matthews. There was an overall theme of finding love and holdi

Sam Law Band Shines
The first time I saw Sam Law Band perform they were an opening act for the great Lou Gramm of Foreigner fame. It was an early set and there was an impending storm on the horizon. I was impressed. This band had a unique sound and very nice stage presence. After the show they were at their merchandise tent and surprised that I asked for their autograph. I love talented bands and for me I don't discriminate on whether a band is known worldwide or a local talent. Fast forward a f

Young The Giant Sets The Tone With New Contemplative Album
YTG's most recent release Mirror Master sets the path for an energetic and thoughtful tour. Their highly anticipated return will see the band venturing through Indianapolis on October 26th performing in the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre. Surely they will be playing their classics "Cough Syrup" and "Apartment" (one of my personal favorites). But new and old fans alike will be thrilled with selections such as "Simplify". I can attest to the bands love of stage. They pres
